This wonderful tree is a true gem of the border region between Texas and Mexico. First cataloged in 1982, this charming little ornamental tree delights with clusters of ten or more lovely white flowers that have a delightful aroma. As they bloom, both the flowers and the wood fill the air with an enchanting scent reminiscent of vanilla and cinnamon. With its impressive growth, reaching heights and widths of 10 to 20 feet, this tree features a unique multitrunked form. Its light green compound leaves transform into a stunning golden hue in the fall, adding to its beauty. Plus, it’s pretty resilient, adapting to temperatures as low as 15°F and thriving in moderate soil conditions.
